The Power Of Community and Arts

The evening at Hollywood and Vines in support of The Performing Arts Center Eastside (PACE) was nothing short of electric. There we were, gathered together, an eclectic mix of artists, executives, and aficionados, all meshed together for a celebration of art and culture. The room, ready for an evening that promised discussions deeper than the usual schmoozing was magic!

Honoring the Pillars of Passion

Kicking off the evening, Dani Cuevas, with Dani Marie Events, Marketing & Talent Management made acknowledged of the team at Hollywood & Vines Recording Studio.  Spotlighting Kevin Jablonski for hosting and Kim Schoch from marketing, it was clear that this event was the result of passionate teamwork.

These introductions weren’t just formalities but a recognition of the hard work and dedication that brings such events to life, emphasizing that every great endeavor is a collaborative effort.

Storytelling as a Bridge Between Eras

This evening was made extra special with our special guest Keith Garde, former manager of the legendary rock band Aerosmith, and a towering figure in the entertainment industry, Keith brought with him an aura of the golden days of rock and roll. His commitment to the arts was palpable as he shared anecdotes from his life, each tale punctuated with the deep, husky laughs and reflective pauses of a man who has seen the world through the lens of art.

“I am actually blessed to have been the son of an artist,” he began, recalling days of reluctance as a youth, being dragged to galleries and museums. This reluctant initiation, as he described it, bloomed into a profound appreciation for the storytellers of his time. What started with passive attendance evolved into active participation when college friends lamented the unsustainable nature of a career in arts.  His solution? “I could probably help you,” marking the start of an unexpected voyage into the music industry.

A Touch of Stardust with Keith Gard

His narratives were not just about managing a band but about fostering a culture that appreciates and supports its artists. He described his early days helping musicians to become patrons for other artists, enhancing and expanding the artistic community. These insights into his strategic moves and management style were enlightening, revealing the delicate balance of passion and business acumen required in his roles.

The Profound Impact of Live Arts

Perhaps the most gripping part of his speech was his reflection on the role of live events in community building and individual experiences. “There’s such incredible value to the community that live entertainment supports,” Keith emphasized. Recounting episodes from his tours, from Tokyo to Cleveland, he spoke of the universal joy and connection that live music fosters.

Looking Forward with Hope

The evening proceeded with  Lora Unger, Executive Director of The Performing Arts Center Eastside (PACE), who stands as a beacon of passion and commitment to the arts. Her goal is to unite the community in support of PACE in Bellevue, fostering an environment where creativity flourishes and inclusivity reigns supreme.

Lora emphasized her dedication to working hand-in-hand with the community and sponsors, emphasizing the importance of accessibility and innovation in arts education and experiences. At the event, she graciously offered tours of the 3D model of the performing arts center, inviting guests to envision the vibrant future of the arts in our community. With a track record of success, including transformative leadership at the Pasadena Symphony Association, Lora’s vision for PACE is one of growth, collaboration, and profound impact. Tonight, she expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who came together to support this important cause, laying the foundation for a future where the arts thrive and enrich the lives of all.

Enchanting Sounds

Moving from speeches into the community building and amazingly talented sounds of the “Brian James Was Here Band” fortified all the messages from the guest speakers and really showed off the talent of local artists.

The excitement was notable as we welcomed the Brian James Was Here band to our private event in support of PACE. Brian James, a Soulful/Country act, brings with him a captivating blend of soulful melodies and country charm that enchanted our guests

The Brian James Was Here band captivated our audiences with their modern sound and electrifying performance.  we were honored to have Brian James Was Here band grace our stage and support the arts in our community.

The call to support the arts resonated deeply within all attendees, urging everyone to recognize and preserve the cultural and economic impact of local and global art scenes creating a sense of collective accomplishment and hope.
